CMV Community Alliance Chair

Updated: Mar 15, 2020

In 2019, the National CMV Foundation launched a pilot program for some top CMV advocates that were willing to provide support to others within their local communities and on a national level. These five individuals worked to increase awareness of congenital CMV in three targeted audiences and raise funds critical to supporting outreach and finding treatments.

The program was hugely successful and the 2020 program has expanded it's panel to include 10 of the top CMV advocates across the country.

In February 2020, ten women were invited to become National CMV Foundation Community Alliance Chairs.

I am honored to announce that I was chosen and have subsequently accepted one of those positions.

During the next few months, I will be fundraising for the National CMV Foundation through various activities and I hope that you will be able to join us. These funds will go towards our efforts in Florida to pass legislation for education, supporting research for treatments, and public health awareness grants.

My goal is to raise $2,500 by July.

In 2020, I plan to have attended several events that help promote awareness and education of CMV in our local community and statewide.

You can help, too! Please email me if you would like to find ways to be involved and help bring CMV awareness to your area.
